TRAVEL REGULATIONS
TRAVEL WITH FULL PEACE OF MIND...
Your BANG medium must be validated each time you board the coach.
All passengers must carry a ticket under pain of a lump sum penalty.
Depending on the type of violation, the fine incurred is:
♦ €45 for a passenger without a ticket or equivalent (3rd class fine)
♦ €58 for a passenger with an incomplete or unvalidated ticket (3rd class fine)
♦ €164 for tortious conduct (4th class fine)
Passengers must comply with instructions given by drivers, inspectors and other sworn agents accredited by the delegating party. In the event of a breach of the rules on force on board coaches, you will incur a fine and/or legal action.
Violations of transport policy established pursuant to articles 73 to 85 of the decree of 22 March 1942 will be subject to the corresponding penalties provided for by this text.
FOR THE COMFORT OF ALL, THE FOLLOWING IS PROHIBITED
smoking, and vaping,
damaging or soiling materials, littering,
making loud noises, using audio devices at levels that may annoy other passengers,
bothering other passengers,
travelling with dangerous dogs. Large dogs and guide dogs are tolerated as long as they are duly muzzled and kept on a lead. Small dogs must accompany their owner in a basket or be carried.
transporting dangerous or annoying objects,
using emergency devices opening the doors or using emergency devices when unnecessary,
disembarking before the coach stops opening the doors and disembarking before the coach comes to a total stop.
THE COACH, A PUBLIC PLACE, RESPECT IT. WHILE TRAVELLING, SHOW THE RIGHT ATTITUDE.
Please board at the front of the coach. For your safety, if seated places are unavailable, do not stand alongside the driver.
Please consider giving up your seat to the disabled, pregnant women, people with young children or the elderly. If a person of limited mobility boards, please leave the benches or folding seats placed in the reserved spaces.
Correct dress and a respective attitude to other passengers and staff make for a pleasant journey.
Drunk or agitated passengers and, more generally, those constituting a disturbance or threat to other passengers, may be refused access to the vehicle by the driver.
Dog owners must ensure that the presence of their dog in no way disrupts the journey, and particularly in the presence of other dogs.
All passengers must wear a seatbelt.
Passengers are asked to prepare their payment when purchasing a ticket from the driver.
Drivers and inspectors are there to guide you. Do not hesitate to ask them for any help.
LOSS, THEFT OR DAMAGE OF LUGGAGE PLACED IN THE HOLD
Drivers of the Edgard network reserve the right to refuse overweight or over-sized luggage, as well as those they feel could be unsafe.
Hand luggage may be placed in the compartments provided for this, and are under the responsibility of their owner. The loss, theft or damage of this hand luggage shall not be compensated.
The value of luggage placed in the hold must be declared to the driver. The loss, theft or damage of luggage placed in the hold may lead to compensation for any damage proven to be the responsibility of the carrier. The maximum compensation amount being limited to the sum of €300
The compensation request must formally be conditional upon obtaining the following documents:
- original receipt for the contents,
- police report on the declaration of loss or theft to the competent police force.
In the absence of one of these supporting documents, the claim shall be rejected.
To be considered, claims for losses and damage to luggage placed in the hold must be made immediately to the driver and confirmed in writing to the customer service department of the Edgard network, accompanied by the supporting documents described above, and no later than three business days after the incident.
The driver of the Edgard network reserves the right to reject overweight or over-sized luggage, as well as that deemed unsafe for transport.
TRANSPORT OF MINORS
School pupils may not be refused transport to or from their school. Nevertheless, if they do not hold a valid ticket, they must pay the journey price each time they board the vehicle, and no reimbursement will be made. Failing payment, they will be liable for a 3rd class fine in accordance with travel policy. If they join their school during the year, they have a grace period of 10 business days to travel without a ticket and to make a mandatory registration with the transport division of the Département du Gard.
If a paying child passenger cannot pay the price of his ticket and is not accompanied by his legal representative, he shall nevertheless be allowed on board, with a ticket prepared showing his failure to present a ticket.
RULES CONCERNING BIKE RACKS
Offer valid only on lines B22 and B23 in the summer period.
For safety reasons, drivers are not allowed to leave their seat to help passengers place or retrieve their bikes from external racks.
Inform the driver of your intention to use the bike rack.
You are responsible for correctly loading and unloading your bike.
The service is free and limited to the number of available spaces; there is no guarantee of transport - if there are no more places in the coach, the bike will be loaded onto the following coach: "First on, first off".
The reservation of spaces on racks is prohibited.
Only non-motorised two-wheel bikes are accepted.
You must be 16 years and above or be accompanied by an adult to use the rack. The person must have the physical strength necessary to handle their bike quickly and safely.
Given that the service is free, the Edgard network may not be held liable for any physical injury or any harm to third parties due to bikes when using this service, and in the event of loss, theft or damage to the bike/s stored.
Remove any removable bulky or poorly attached object, or one which could limit the field of vision of the driver.
Your must retrieve your bike on the roadside, step away from the coach and let the driver know that you are in a safe position.
Wait for the coach to move off so you have a clear view of the road and traffic so you can continue your journey.
In the absence of written provisos made when retrieving bikes, passengers are deemed to have retrieved their bike in good condition and lose, ipso facto, the benefit of presumption of liability.
In the event of an incident, users must make a declaration to their insurer as soon as possible.
